Over 30 years of industrial and academic research & development experience in semiconductor materials and devices.

Research focus: nano-thin film and nano-structured materials and devices with applications in the fields of solar photovoltaics, solar fuels, solar optics, optoelectronics and sensing; and fundamental studies in the fields of photonics, photonic crystals, plasmonics, and metamaterials.

Completed two industrial research sabbaticals at Los Alamos National Laboratory and Forschungszentrum Jülich.

Fellow of the American Physical Society, Canadian Academy of Engineering, Canadian Institute of Engineering, Royal Society of Arts.
